About Mike

Through many different roles throughout his career, Mike has provided pastoral care and support to children, adolescents, individuals, couples, and families. He works with his clients to create a safe and welcoming space where they are heard and understood in a way that leads to increased hope and healing.

Prior to pursuing his MA in Clinical Counseling, MFT at Azusa Pacific University, he served 12 years in pastoral ministry in two churches and as the Director of Community and Church Relations at Biola University for 18 years. He is also a Spiritual Director at the Center for Spiritual Renewal at Biola University. Mike has taught courses in theology, spiritual formation, and marriage and family therapy at Talbot School of Theology and Biola’s School of Education.

As an AMFT, Mike offers a safe and supportive space for individuals, couples, and families to explore a variety of life's challenges. He specializes in his work with clients in addressing the pain and disruption that comes from anxiety and depression, grief and loss, and identity issues. His work also provides support for those dealing with family conflict, divorce recovery, spiritual issues, trauma and abuse.
